Piggery unit: A unit of piggery with concrete flooring and wall with intensive housing system. Dry feeding of concentrated feeds along with nipple drinker was installed for drinker. A breed of Large White Yorkshire and Duroc cross bred was introduced mainly for the purpose of piglet production. This will be further disseminated to local piggery farmers so as to introduce the superior germplasm of the pig. This unit will be one of the training demonstration unit for the farmers, transfer of technology to them and also solve inbreeding defects like stunted growth, delayed estrus, less litter size, high mortality etc

POULTRY HATCHERY UNIT at KVK Demontration farm, NORTH VANLAIPHAI was installed and started functioning from April 2022. The main purpose of this unit to increase the egg productions and sustain the poultry farming in the KVK Adopted villages. Farmers rearing dual purpose breeds, Japanese quails, Duck etc utilised the facility here.

Poultry unit of semi intensive housing with deep litter flooring system. Japanese quails and White turkey were reared for demonstration purposes and for further dessimination of the chicks.
