On 22 March, 2021, World Water Day will be celebrated in Dipewadgon village. DRI KVK Beed-1 celebrates water and raises awareness of the water crisis in griculture. The theme of World Water Day 2021 is valuing water. The value of water is about much more than its price – water has enormous and complex value for our agriculture, households, food, culture, health, education, economics and the integrity of our natural environment. If we overlook any of these values, we risk mismanaging this finite, irreplaceable resource.

Post Event Details:World Water Day 2021: Valuing water Deendayal Research Institute, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Beed-1 Ambajogai celebrated World Water Day 2021 at Dipewadgaon, Taluka Kaij. World Water Day was celebrated on the theme Valuing water. World Water Day was celebrated to create awareness among farmers about water management. KVK scientists explained the background of World Water Day to the farmers. The farmers were also given guidance on roof water harvesting, rainwater management and conservation, well and borewell recharge, use of plastic mulching in orchards, use of evaporative chemicals in farms, use of micro-irrigation system. The oath of water saving was given to the farmers at this time. A total of 35 farmers attended the event.
