A one-day training on 'Market Lead Extension' is planned at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ambajogai. The extension functionary will be guided on the subject of market based agricultural extension and seed certification methods.

Post Event Details:A one-day training on 'Market Lead Extension' was organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ambajogai. The staff was guided on the subject of market based agricultural extension and seed certification methods. Farmers get extra income by producing and selling improved varieties of seeds through farmer producer companies as well as farmer groups. If the seed is certified and the bag is closed, it gets higher price. It also helps in reducing the cost of production through seeds. Seed production is a viable option to provide more benefits to the farmers as well as reduce the production cost of the crop to the farmers. It is possible to get higher rates through seed certification by encouraging farmer production companies and farmer groups for seed production through in-service staff. Through this market based agricultural expansion is possible.
