Pre Event Description :
A three day stall fed goat rearing workshop was held on occasion of birth centenary year of Pt Deendayal Upadhya & Shri Nanaji Deshmukh. The Inagural function was presided over by Shri J.K. Kulkarni, Member, DRI, Beed project. He elaborated upon self reliance concept and Integral humanism and skill development concepts of these two nationalists. The scientist from animal science department conducted various concepts of stall fed goat rearing. These includes shed construction, forage production, Hydrophonic method of green forage production, breed selection, balanced feeding. The progressive goat farmers shared their experience of stall fed goat rearing. The details of bank finance and animal insurance were discussed. The livestock development officers of state department Ambajogai & Kaij blocks narrated about govt schemes for goat farmers. The workshop also covered topics like reproduction, Marketing strategies for profitable goat farming.
