Objective: To educate rural youth about commercial goat production as agriculture allied business.

Pre Event Description :

Three days training program has been planned on commercial goat production for rural unemployed rural youth to educate them about commercial goat production. Under this training program, emphasize will be given on different topics such as importance of goat rearing, Indigenous breeds of goats, exotic breeds of goats, systems of goat rearing, principles of goats housing, selection of goat, selection of breeding buck, care and management of kids, care and management of pregnant goats, care and management of milking goats and breeding buck fodder for goats, principles of goats housing, selection of goat, selection of breeding buck, care and management of kids, care and management of pregnant goats, care and management of milking goats and breeding buck, fodder for goats, diseases in goats, vaccination in goats, nutritional requirement of goat, ingredients of feed with nutritional value, preparation of concentrate for goats, maintenance of goat records and Marketing of goats.

Chief Guest's Remarks:In inaugural session of training program, Dr. Saurabh Sharma encouraged the rural youth to start the goatry business for self employment generation. He said that goatry business has huge scope in india. He stated that day by prices of goat meat increased due to huge demand of delicious taste and nutritional quality of goat meat. At present situation,most of the farmers rearing goats but he does not following scientific management practices. He suggested to farmers to follow scientific management practices to harvest more profit from goat rearing.

Post Event Details:Three days training program has been organized on commercial goat production for rural unemployed rural youth to educate them about commercial goat production. 86 rural youth participated in this training program.
