Objective: 1. Impart skill about dehydration of vegetables to women, 2. Provide alternative income source to rural women
Pre Event Description :
Training about dehydration techniques will be given to the rural women. Sufficient hands on practice will be provided. The exposure visit of the trainee women will organized at Commercial Vegetable Dehydration Unit, Ozar. Shri. Dilip Kulkarni will guide about the unit, process of dehydration, demanda to dehydrated vegetables in the market and the scope.

Chief Guest's Remarks:Nashik is major vegetable growing state in Maharashtra. As a perishable commodity, considerable volume of vegetable loss has been noticed. In peak season, the rates of the vegetable goes down. Rural women can avail this vegetable and can process it. Dehydration can increase the shelf life of vegetables. These dehydrated vegetables can be sold in off season and can fetch more prices.
Post Event Details:The exposure visit of the trainee women was conducted to Solar Dehydration Unit, Ozar. The practical training on dehydration of leafy vegetables, tomato, drumstick leaves, onion, carrot, etc was imparted.
