Objective: To Know agricultural engineering interventions in dryland farming Viz. Farm mechanisation, Improved irrigation system & agricultural allied enterprises
Pre Event Description :
Farmers will be understood about farm mechanization. Farmers will be learn about various improved tools & machineries for weeding & harvesting. Self propelled power weeder will be focused to minimize weeding cost. Serrated sickles specially luxmi sickle & vaibhav sickles will be promoted to small & marginal farmers . Issue of Drudgery during this work will be discuss & gave solution on it through improved serrated sickle. Kvk will provides serrated sickles to the interested farmers to use it. KVK promotes custom hiring center as a agril. entrepreneurship. Through custom hiring center kvk will provide service of tractor for tillage operation. Kvk have a Dal mill demonstration unit through which services farmers will be benefitted.

Post Event Details:Farmers was understand about farm mechanization, its need. Farmers learned about BBF Planter& various improved tools for harvesting of crops after their visits. Serrated sickles specially luxmi sickle & vaibhav sickles harvesting was promoted to small & marginal farmers . Issue of Drudgery during these works was discussed & gave solution on it through improved light weight serrated sickle. Tractor tillage was focused to farmers through kvk’s custom hiring center which saves time, labour requirement & cost of farm operation. Kvk supplies serrated sickles, Dal mill service & tractor service to the interested farmers to use it.Also guide on weather station etc.
