Objective: To create awareness among farmer and farm women about goats nutrition, high yielding green fodder variety, silage production, hydroponics fodder production, azolla feed production and processing for enrichment of low quality fodder for goats.
Pre Event Description :
One day training program entitled 'Nutrition of goats’ has been planned by Krishi Vigyan Kendra at kvk campus. In this training training program, emphasis will be given on topic such as high yielding green fodder variety, hydroponics fodder production techniques, silage technology; azolla production technology and processing for enrichment of low quality fodder for livestock. Most of the goat farmers facing problems of high quality green fodder at the time of livestock rearing. So that it ultimately hammer production and farmer income. Silage production is the better option for goat farmer to provide nutritious feed to goats. Surplus produced green fodder in kharif season can be use to produce silage. Azolla provides high quality protein and minerals to goats. During feed scarcity, enrichment of low quality fodder is the one of the best option for goat grower such as jaggery and salt treatment etc.
