Objective: To provide scientific knowledge about goat rearing and management
Pre Event Description :
KVK has organized three days 'Goat Farming' training program during 22 Nov to 24 Nov. 2021 under the project 'Capacity building of farmer through training program on profitable dairy farming & livestock management' by Ministry of fisheries, animal husbandry & dairying. In this training program, Scientist will provide scientific knowledge to trainees about goat rearing by focusing on topic breed selection, selection of goat rearing method as per resource availability, points to be considered for selection of site for goat shed, specifications of goat shed construction, productive and reproductive characteristics of goat breeds, criteria of selection of goat and breeding buck, care and management of pregnant goat, lactating goat, dry goat, kid, breeding buck, diseases in goat, feed management of goat, balanced concentrate preparation, fodder management, vaccination plan in goat and marketing of goat.
