Pre Event Description :
A farmer training program is planned on topic climate change and its impact on agriculture. To create awareness among farmers about the impact of climate change on agriculture; Accordingly, the program was organized to train the farmers on the changes to be made in the cropping pattern. Climate change is having a major impact on the agricultural sector, with crop production costs rising and productivity changes. Late onset of monsoons, long dry spells, excess rainfall in a short period of time, increased temperatures and insect infestations as well as increased incidence of cold are the major factors affecting agriculture. In the event of climate change, farmers need to take appropriate measures such as adoption of intercropping method, seed treatment, adoption of BBF technology, in-situ water conservation, use of improved varieties, adoption of new cropping method, adoption of integrated farming method.

Post Event Details:Farmer Training Program Farmer training was conducted at village Khodas, taluka Dharur, district Beed through Deendayal Research Institute Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ambajogai, Beed-1. Training was conducted on climate change and its impact on agriculture. To create awareness among farmers about the impact of climate change on agriculture; Accordingly, the program was organized to train the farmers on the changes to be made in the cropping pattern. On these factors, the scientists of the KVK gave detailed information to the farmers on how to cope with the effects of climate change. He also said that bamboo cultivation is important as a supplementary crop to the changing environment. 25 farmers from Khodas village participated in this training program. Through the KVK, they were given a folder on bamboo cultivation technology.
