Pre Event Description :
Field day of 'effect of Azolla as feed supplement on milk production' has been planned at Aurangpur Tq. Kaij Distt. Beed (Maharashtra). Farmers will be involved in this activity are practicing farmers of Aurangpur village. Field day is planned to show the performance of demonstrated Azolla technology on farmer’s field and to make aware farmer about azolla feeding technology for livestock to minimize the feeding cost. This field day also planned to encourage the farmers for adoption of azolla technology in rearing of livestock.

Post Event Details:Field day of 'effect of Azolla as feed supplement on milk production’ has been organized at Aurangpur Tq. Kaij Distt. Beed (Maharashtra). Total 15 farmers have been participated in this activity. The results of demonstrated Azolla technology on farmer’s field have been showed to participated practicing farmers. Also create awareness among farmer about azolla feeding technology by explaining nutritional importance of azolla in animal feeding to minimize the feeding cost. This field day has been organized to encourage the farmers for adoption of azolla technology in rearing of livestock. Farmers involved in Azolla FLD program shared their positive remarks of azolla feeding among farmers. They stated that due to feeding of azolla increased buffalo milk production as well as fat percentage. Along with this improved health status of buffalo and reduced the cost of feeding.
