Objective: To explain farmers the method of setting pheromone trap.
To informing the farmers about the precautions to be taken while setting the pheromone trap.
Pre Event Description :
Integrated pest-disease management is important in crop production. In addition to agrochemicals, various alternatives such as pheromone traps, bird stops, trap crops need to be used while managing pests in crops. Demonstration of installation of pheromone traps for management of pink bollworm in cotton crop was conducted through Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Kacharwadi, Taluka Dharur. Care must be taken when installing lure traps when installing lure traps. The lure should be placed without touching the hand. When setting a trap, it is necessary to set it one to one and a half feet higher than the height of the crop. Information about this will be given to the farmers through demonstrations.
