Pre Event Description :
Dr. Tripathi (Head & Sr. Scientist) welcomed all the dignitaries & elaborated the objectives of PMFBY & the importance of soil health card to farmers. Folder in Marathi language on PMFBY was released & distributed to the farmers. Dr. Pritam Munde emphasized on benefits of new crop insurance scheme. She advised farmers to participate in this scheme to cope up with all types of adverse climatic conditions. She acknowledged KVK for doing satisfactory work for farmers. She also distributed Soil Health Cards to farmers. Mr. Atul Jain indicated the vast need of soil and water conservation for sustainable livelihood of farming community. He expressed the motto of Nanaji Deshmukh for holistic development of rural community. Technical sessions of NABARD, ATMA & Bank officials gave details of schemes and guided about PMFBY. In the exhibition 6 stalls of various agriculture technologies, implements were demonstrated. A total of 956 farmers from 109 villages of district participated in the event
