Objective: To create awareness on soil health among the farmers. To increase fertility of the soil.
Pre Event Description :
World Soil Day was celebrated on 05.12.2017 with an intention to create awareness on importance of soil analysis in increasing the fertility of the soil. During the programme Soil health cards were distributed to the farmers. On behalf of world soil day rabi farmers rally was organized to overcome the problems during rabi crop management. The programme was organized in collaboration with SAO,SAD,ATMA and RCF, Latur. It was inaugurated by Dr. Sunil Gaikwad, Member of Parliament in presence of Shri. Trimbak Bhise, MLA Latur rural. The programme was chaired by Shri. Dheeraj Deshmukh, ZP Member. Dr. V.P. Suryawanshi Extension Agronomist, VNMKV, Parbhani, Shri. Deshmukh Abhijeet, Deputy Manager, Bayer Co.Ltd , Shri. Vijay Kadam Technical Officer,RCF and Shri. Ramesh Chille Agriculture Officer, SAD were present as the guest faculties.

Chief Guest's Remarks:He applied the farmers to improve the soil fertility by using various green manuring crops and also used recommended doses as per soil health cards to reduce the production cost.
Post Event Details:Farmers were satisfied with the soil health cards distributed during the programme and decided to go through it for enhancing the income.
