Objective: To create awareness among farmer and farm women about poultry farming
Pre Event Description :
KVK has planned three days ‘Poultry farming’ training program during 14 March to 16 March 2022 under the project 'Capacity building of farmer through training program on profitable dairy farming & livestock management' by Ministry of fisheries, animal husbandry & dairying. In training program, focus will be given on introduction of poultry rearing, current status of poultry sector, Indigenous breeds of poultry, Exotic breeds of poultry, Selection of site for poultry shed, Principles of poultry shed construction, Cleaning of shed and shed surrounding, Equipments in poultry raring, Selection of poultry breed, Preparation of feed for poultry, Management of shed before chicks arrival, Management of shed after chick arrival, Contractual poultry farming, Diseases in poultry, Vaccination in poultry, Care and management of layer, Care and management of broiler, Brooding process in chick, General treatment in poultry.
