Pre Event Description :
On 31st August,2017, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kapurthala working under the aegis of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana organized a mega event ‘ New Indian Manthan:Sankalp Se Siddhi’, programme as per directions from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi at New Grain Market , Kapurthala. In this programme, the various technologies pertaining to agriculture and allied fields were displayed to the participants along with relevant literature by the KVK, line departments, banks, self help groups, private companies etc. The chief guest of the programme Sh Mohammad Tayyab, worthy Deputy Commissioner, Kapurthala led the pledge taking ceremony for development of the country as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. He also highlighted the seven point strategies, vis focus on irrigation with adequate resource building, increase production through various methods, strengthening post harvest infrastructure.

Chief Guest's Remarks:The chief guest of the programme Sh Mohammad Tayyab, worthy Deputy Commissioner, Kapurthala led the pledge taking ceremony for development of the country as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. He also highlighted the seven point strategies, vis a vis, focus on irrigation with adequate resource building, increase production through various methods, strengthening post harvest infrastructure, food processing, e-marketing, farmers loans, and subsidiary farming.
Post Event Details:Dr Manoj Sharma while welcoming all the participants, dignitaries, farmers, farm women and youth, narrated that it is of utmost importance to acquire trainings in the field of agriculture and allied fields before starting any entrepreneur so that farmers can increase their farm income. For imparting trainings, all the facilities and infra structure is available at the KVK campus, therefore, farmers must make use of these facilities. Sh Avtar Singh Bhullar, ADC (Development ) honoured innovative farmers, farm women and officials of the line departments by presenting a memento. He urged officials of all line departments to sponsor candidates from the villages for acquiring trainings from the KVK. About 40 exhibitions stalls were put by all the departments as well as private companies but stalls of agricultural machinery for the management of paddy straw attracted most of the farmers. A mobile exhibition van from the Punjab Agricultural University played the movies about technologies and Sankal se Siddhi programme.
