Objective: Diagnostic Field Visit
Pre Event Description :
A diagnostic field visit was organized at custard apple orchard plot at Kadiwadgav, Tq. Wadwani. Tree drying and dying was noticed by farmers. Food and water supply discontinued from soil to top. Due to decaying of tree bark at soil level by infestation of fungus. High temperature in summer followed by rainfall caused fungus attack. Due to which trees were drying and dying, we concluded. To stop losses of farmers we recommended use of trichoderma and biomix once a week as farmer following organic method for fruit production. KVK scientist also suggested use of waste decomposer culture and development of drainage system in orchard.
