The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor in his remarks stressed upon the popularization of Natural farming activities in the valley of Gurez and revival of some important heritage crops namely Buckwheat, Smaller millets, Gurez Pulse Pea and Amaranth. He also advocated the need for the domestication of Kala Zeera (Black Cummin) at large scale as the domestication programme of the crop has already been initiated by the Kendra from last couple of years.
