Description : A day long programme on “Petroleum Conservation under PCRA” was organized under the chairmanship of Dr. P. Handique, i/c Programme Coordinator, KVK Lakhimpur. In his speech he appealed the farmers to minimize the energy lost during the agricultural operation of diesel engine.In this workshop two resource person namely Er. K.K. Baruah and Mr. Paban Gogoi delivered lecture in detailed on efficient use of diesel in Tractor, power tiller and pumpset in agricultural operation. They advised the farmers for saving even one drop of diesel while operating the engine to minimized the cost of production. A total of 52 famers attended the workshop, of which 15 farmers are using power tiller and 5 farmers are using pumpsets. A practical session on efficient use of petroleum was also conducted in the programme.
