Description : A day long ceremonial input distribution programme was organized by KVK, Karbi Anglong under TSP project on “Promotion of Agriculture Centric Sustainable Livelihoods Security for Tribal Farmers of Assam” on 15.11 2017 at Gereso-1 village, Langting, Dma Hasao district. A total of 189 farmers from Gereso-1, Gereso-2, Gereso-3, Gereso-4 and Gereso-5 villages attended the programme. Sjt. Mahendra Kemprai, Executive Member, NC Hills Autonomous Council, Haflong attended the programme as Chief Guest. In his brief speech he appreciated the programme initiated by the KVK, Karbi Anglong and appealed the farmers to actively involved in the farming for livelihoods and nutritional security.In the programme various agricultural inputs were distributed viz., Rainbow Rooster chicks 1000nos, 25number of 2-3months old piglet, Potato 10q, 35kg Toria (TS-38), 480Kg of Groundnut seeds (var.ICGV-91114) along with poultry and pig feeds, medicine, Vermicompost were distributed to the beneficiary farmers.
