Description : KrishiVigyan Kendra, Sepahijala, Central Agricultural University (I), Tripura organized oneday method demonstration programme on “Nursery management practices in paddy” at Latiacherra VC, Jampuijala block, Sepahijala district, Tripura on 29th June, 2019. The programme was attended by 34 farmers’ and they were sensitized on wet bedmethod of raising paddy seedlings by means of lecture and method demonstration. During the programmeDrUtpalDey,SMS (Plant Protection), KVK, Sepahijala highlighted the importance of fungal biocontrol agent (Trichodermaharzianum), bacterial biocontrol agent (Pseudomonas fluorescens) as seed bio-priming, soil application of neem cake and lime for nursery bed preparation. Prepare 80-100 plots of 1.25m x 8m with 4-5 inch height to raise nursery. Nursery in 800-900 sq m is enough for transplanting in 1 hectare area. Neem cake (2q/ha), lime (500kg/ha) and well decomposed farm yard manure (FYM) @ 300-400 kg per 100 sq m area can be apply 7-10 days before sowing.
