Description : Technology assessment trial on Bhindi was conducted at Pilak, Paikhola, North Jolaibari, Laxmichorra villages of South Tripura district with INM practices during both the early (sowing at 15th January) and late (sowing at 15th September) seasons. Early season (6.95 t/ha) and late season (6.1 t/ha) average fresh yields were found to be 69.5% and 69.9% higher than farmers practise plots, respectively. The soil organic carbon status and residual nitrogen levels have increased marginally, in INM-treated plots. The B: C ratio was higher in late season (5.0) than in early season (4.0) among the treated plots (4.56).

Some inputs are distributed to progressive women farmers. The main emphasis of the programme was to create awareness among women and girls to adapt climate change, mitigation and response to build a sustainable future. Women and girls has to empower themselves to raise voice and take equal part in decision-making related to climate change and sustainable development. Without gender equality, a sustainable future is out of reach.

The yield of mustard (10.33 q/ha) increased by 15.8% over the farmers' variety (8.92 q/ha). Net returns were Rs. 18,007/- as opposed to Rs. 11,521/- for the local variety. The demonstrated plot had a B: C ratio of 1.59: 1 and the local check had a ratio of 1.38: 1.

Description : Frontline demonstrations of rice (Pusa sugandhi 5) with foliar Zn application were carried out on 15.3 ha of land, involving 154 farmers of Kolashi, N. Jolaibari, Laxmichorra, West Paikhola villages of South Tripura district. Results indicated higher rice yield (3.375 t/ha) in zinc-applied plots than in control plots (2.96 t/ha), indicating a 14% increase in yield due to Zn fertilization. Net returns of Rs. 57,350/- per ha were also recorded in demonstrated plots, with a benefit-cost ratio of 2.31: 1. Zn fertilization in rice cultivation has been adopted by nearly 75% of farmers.

Description : Frontline maize demonstrations were conducted in three villages in South Tripura for two consecutive years, with 109 farmers, with the objective of introducing maize into the rice-cowpea cropping sequence to increase cropping intensity and profitability. The yield of HQPM-maize was 1.72 t/ha, which was 37.6% higher than the yield of local cultivars. Cropping intensity also increased from 200% to 300%. Annual per ha net income of Rs. 22690/- increased with a B:C ratio of 2.5: 1.

In the programme 50 numbers of soil health card has been distributed to the farmers of Laxmicherra and Indiranagar village of South Tripura. Mushroom spawn and vegetable seedlings (Tomato and capsicum) were distributed among the farmers of different villages like Mirza, Bagma, Belonia etc. Inaugural session of the programme was ended with National anthem. After the inaugural session, there was a separate technical session for the farmers.

Description : Field was conducted on gomati variety of rice at Bagma village of South Tripura. Programme Coordinator, Subject Matter Specialist, Gram Pradhan, Upapradhan, Cheif Coordinator, Farmers club were present the programme. Total 100 farmers from Bagma, Bagabasha, Barobhaiya were present in the programme, Farmers were shown the potential of the variety. Farmers of other villages were delighted to see the variety grown by the farmers of Bagma and also shown their interest to cultivate the same in their villages.
