Celebration of 94th Foundation Day of ICAR

Description : ICAR celebrated its 94th foundation day on July 16, 2022. The programme was webcasted by the ICAR and SAUs, Research institutions, KVKs and farmers had witnessed this programme. A Dhemaji district farmer Sri Devajit Changmai from Sripani Mathadang village bags National award “Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Krishi Antodaya Puraskar” for the year 2021. He has received a citation and a sum of Rupees One lakh along with the award. Moreover, ICAR gives this prestigious award every year to four innovative farmers’ of the country and Sri Changmai has received it for the year 2021. He has been producing Certified Paddy seeds in the district under the guidance of KVK Dhemaji since five years. He produces 120 to 150q of certified seeds of submergent tolerant varieties Bahadur Sub-1 and Ranjit Sub-1. Sri Lakhinath Lagachu, DFDO, Dhemaji attended the programme.

Description : Today on 15 th September 2017, as a part of the “Swachh Bharat Misison”, a campaign on “Swachhatta hi Sewa” was organized at Nilokh Tarani pathar village in participation of 60 nos of villagers . At the beginning, a formal meeting was organized to make awareness of the programme. All the staff and Scientist of KVK Dhemaji were also present in the programme. In the inaugural speech Head of KVK Dhemaji appraised the gathering about the aim and objective of the programme; which will be celebrated by the whole nation starting from 15 th September to 2 nd October 2017. After the formal meeting a cleanliness drive was conducted in the village. All the villagers were participated in that drive. Under this drive the campus of the “Village youth Club”, entrance of the village and village road were repaired and cleaned. Villagers motivated and felt the necessity of the Swachhatta and decided to conduct such type of drive periodically.
