Shri Chhabilendra Roul, Hon’ble Special Secretary, DARE and Secretary, ICAR, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Govt. of India visited and reviewed the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ratnagiri on 18/10/2018. At outset, Dr. Hukumsingh Dhakat, Associate Dean, College of Fisheries, Ratnagiri and Program Coordinator Dr. A.A. Hanmante has welcomed the Hon’ble Special Secretary. Deputy Director of Extension Dr. Ketan Choudhari has showed various publication made by KVK and University. Further, Program Coordinator briefed about different activities and achievements of KVK, ongoing projects and technology products/inputs supplied by KVK to the farmers.
The Special Secretary critically observed the available infrastructure facilities such as Museum, Soil testing lab, Crop cafeteria, instructional farm, nursery unit, azolla unit etc. He emphasized on doubling farmers income through entrepreneurship development, farm mechanization, outreach of flagship agricultural technologies developed by SAUs
