Description : Trial on DSR compared to conventional method of transplanting is being carried out at KVK, Allahabad. The trial is sponsored by UPCAR, Lucknow. 2000 sq mt of land was prepared for DSR. Similarly 2000 sq mt of land was also prepared for conventional transplanting. It may be mentioned here that the piece of land prepared for the trial was earlier used for cultivation of pigeon pea and mustard. The land required substantial levelling. The variety of seed used was 27P37, seed rate being 15 kg/ha. Simultaneously associated on weather and soil type were also collected.
